Are you an educator who is interested in furthering your own teaching pedagogy while furthering the success of your students? Have you ever wanted to earn a Master Degree but not known where to begin?
Huston-Tillotson now offers a Master Degree in Language and Literacy; this program is primarily designed for the working teaching professional. The M.Ed. in Language & Literacy program allows for a concentration in one of the following: 1.) English as a Second Language (ESL), 2.) Reading Instruction, and 3.) Principal Certification.
This practitioner-oriented program provides a learning community of collegial support, along with a multiple modality instructional format. Online courses are typically held on two pre-determined weeknights from 6:00 PM-10 PM along with face-to-face coursework on Saturdays from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM.
The best news? Huston-Tillotson’s M.Ed. program can be completed within one calendar year! The Master program requires a successful completion of 33 credit hours and 11 courses valued at 3 credits each. To finish the program within 12 months students will complete six credit hours each session which equates to 12 credit hours per semester, fall and spring. Additionally, student will complete 12 credit hours during the following summer sessions. The results will be a total of 33 credit hours to complete the program.
