St. David’s Foundation Scholarship
With generous support from the St. David’s Foundation in Austin, HT students interested in pursuing a medical career can apply to receive a $10,000 per year scholarship for 4 years. Medical career options can include the following: Dentist, Doctor, Nurse, Pharmacist, Physical Therapist, Physician Assistant, Psychiatrist, and Surgeon. Other medical career options may be considered at the discretion of the program directors.
Requirements:
- Major in Biology, Chemistry, Kinesiology, or Psychology
- First-time freshman at HT with a ≥ 3.0 High School GPA
- Complete the HT Admissions Application
- Complete the HT Scholarship Application, including an essay describing your specific plans and motivation for pursuing a medical career
- Complete FAFSA
Priority Deadline is February 1.
Preference will be given to students with any of the following:
- ≥ 3.5 High School GPA
- Austin area high school graduate. Residents of Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, or Williamson counties.
- Taken an advanced science course [AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Physics, etc.]
