Campus Book Clubs

The Downs-Jones Library is proud to support all book clubs, read-ins, and author events on campus with the goal of bringing the Huston-Tillotson community together by creating common ground and shared experiences, and promoting a love of reading by introducing participants to books that encourage and inspire.

Whether it’s recommending titles, providing books (and eBooks) to readers, or welcoming groups into the library space, the Downs-Jones Library continuously promotes reading for learning, pleasure, and community in partnership with other departments on campus. We have worked with the President’s Office, the Center for Academic Innovation and Transformation, and the College of Arts and Sciences, among others, to bring new and classic titles to the attention of HT and Austin community members in a shared and sharing environment.
