SARA State Complaint Process
Students outside of Texas in a SARA member state enrolled in an online course offered by HT must first follow the Huston-Tillotson University (HT) Student Complaint and Grievance Procedures to seek resolution of their complaint. If the complaint is not resolved through the University’s process, the student may then file a complaint with the Texas SARA Portal Entity.
Non-SARA State Complaints
Students outside of Texas in a non-SARA state enrolled in an online course offered by Huston-Tillotson University (HT) may file a complaint with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) or with the appropriate state agency in the state where they are located.
Note: Only distance education content originating in the United States, a U.S. territory, or district and provided from within a SARA state is eligible to be offered under SARA.
