Historic Milestone Advances Strategic Priority of Enrollment and Student Success
Austin, Texas — Huston-Tillotson University proudly celebrated a historic milestone during its Spring 2026 Commencement exercises, recognizing the largest graduating class of international students in the University’s history. A total of 18 international students were eligible to participate in the May 16, 2026, commencement ceremony, marking a significant achievement in the institution’s commitment to global engagement, academic excellence, and student success.
This accomplishment directly supports HT Strategic Priority #1: Enrollment and Student Success, specifically Goal 1.7: Increase the recruitment of intentional students. The success of these graduates reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to attract, support, and graduate students who are purpose-driven, academically committed, and prepared to make meaningful contributions in an increasingly interconnected world.
The graduating class represents a diverse group of scholars from countries including The Bahamas, China, Congo (Kinshasa), Côte d’Ivoire, Nepal, and Nigeria. Their unique perspectives, cultural experiences, and academic achievements have enriched the educational environment at Huston-Tillotson University while fostering greater cross-cultural understanding across campus.
