Newly Elected Huston-Tillotson Student Leaders Attend 29th Annual NASAP Student Leadership Institute

Orangeburg, South Carolina — Huston-Tillotson University proudly announces that a delegation of newly elected student leaders represented the university at the 29th Annual NASAP Student Leadership Institute hosted at Claflin University. The conference brought together more than 40+ Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) from across the country to engage in leadership development, networking, and discussions focused on student success and campus engagement.

Representing Huston-Tillotson University at the prestigious conference were:

The annual conference provided student leaders with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, exchange ideas with peers from fellow HBCUs, and explore innovative strategies for enhancing student life and campus programming. Through workshops, panel discussions, and collaborative sessions, participants gained valuable insights into effective leadership, advocacy, student engagement, and organizational management.

“This conference provided an excellent opportunity for our student leaders to learn from experienced professionals and connect with fellow HBCU leaders from across the nation,” said Vice President for Student Affairs Jennifer Miles. “The knowledge and experiences gained will help these students continue to foster a vibrant campus culture and positively impact the Huston-Tillotson community.”

As newly elected leaders, the delegation is committed to applying the lessons learned at the conference to support student development, strengthen campus traditions, and create meaningful opportunities for student involvement during the upcoming academic year.
