
Dr. Brandi Sims received her B.A. from Cameron University, her M.B.A. in 2018, and her Ph.D. in Strategic Media Communications from Liberty University in 2026. Her dissertation, “From Posts to Action: Social Media Amplification of Radical Behaviors in the Capitol Breach and Trump Assassination Attempts,” examines the role of digital platforms in mobilizing real-world action.
Dr. Sims is the Founder & CEO of Brandinc PR, a strategic communications and digital marketing agency serving public figures, athletes, brands, and nonprofits across the entertainment, sports, and lifestyle sectors. She has secured national media coverage for clients in outlets including Forbes, ESPN, ABC News, Fox News, The New Yorker, and AP News. She also hosts The Brandinc PR Podcast, recognized among Feedspot’s Top 70 PR Podcasts, and serves as Content Coordinator for Best Version Media’s North Edmond Living Magazine.
At Huston-Tillotson University, Dr. Sims joins the faculty this fall teaching Public Speaking, Mass Media and Society, and Branded Content.
Dr. Sims served as a Forbes BLK Advisor for the Austin market, as Chair of the PRSA Entertainment & Sports Section, and currently on the board of the Austin Women in Media Alliance. She has been recognized by Brownstyle Magazine as a Women in Media Honoree, named to the Atelier 100 Most Influential People of 2026, and honored by Blavity as a Top Black Digital Marketing Agency, among other distinctions.
