The International Student Admissions Scholarship recognizes international students who have demonstrated academic achievement and a commitment to pursuing a degree at Huston-Tillotson University. This scholarship is available to eligible first-time international students and transfer students studying under an F-1 visa.
Award Amount:
- $2,500 one-time scholarship award.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be an international student with an F-1 visa.
- Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA from secondary school or previous college coursework if transferring.
- Must not have received a Presidential, W.E.B. DuBois, Athletic, Music, or other HT scholarship totaling $5,000 or more during the first semester.
Award Conditions:
- Must be enrolled full-time during the first two semesters at HT.
- Must earn a minimum 2.5 GPA after the first semester at HT.
- Must remain in good standing with the university.
- Must participate in required cultural and academic activities as determined by the International Student Advisor.
Award Posting Information:
This scholarship is awarded after successful completion of the student’s first semester at Huston-Tillotson University. Eligibility is reviewed once final grades are posted. Students who qualify for the award in the Fall semester will receive the scholarship during the following Spring semester. Likewise, students who qualify in the Spring semester will receive the award during the following Fall semester.
