‘Homecoming’ Documentary Watch Party

Before the cameras, it was not merely a commemorative 150^th-year anniversary celebration, it was a testimony.  A story of resilience. Of grit. Of courage. Of people who refused to quit, even when the odds suggested they should.  One story in particular that emerged was the story of the Huston-Tillotson University men’s basketball team.  To say the least, they had a rough start but ended the year with a bang! And then there was the HT budget meeting, while the Cabinet discussed how to navigate a challenging national narrative of potential reduced funding, the University still had to host a historic event called, “Homecoming”.  What emerged was the heartbeat of a University that has spent more than 150 years taking lemons and making lemonade with style, soul, faith, and determination.
