bibliotheca/3M Security Gates

To protect our collections, all library books contain a small, concealed magnet that is deactivated at checkout.

If a book is taken from the building without being checked out, the security gates at the doors sound an alarm. Visitors may be asked to return to the circulation desk to finish checking out their books.

Oransi EJ120 HEPA Air Purifiers

Found across campus as part of the Safe and Healthy Rams initiative, these devices maintain a constant flow of clean air indoors.

They contain medical-grade True HEPA filters that remove 99.99% of airborne particulates at 0.3 microns, 99.8% at 0.10 microns and 99.8% at 0.02 microns to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
