Study Abroad in the Dominican Republic
The Study Abroad Program in the Dominican Republic focuses on a cultural-historical theme. One of the course offerings will cover the Culture and History of the Dominican Republic and another course will provide students with training in the Spanish language. The Program’s goal is to prepare students to work and compete in the global, multi-cultural world of the 21st century. The Program’s four weeks of study and travel will provide students with a broad-based introduction to the history, culture and language of the Dominican people currently residing on an island that is shared with Haiti.
Studying in another country provides students with a great opportunity to demonstrate their ability to work effectively with someone from a different cultural background as well as an opportunity to realize their leadership and fellowship characteristics.
