At Huston-Tillotson University, we are a Christ-centered, historically Black institution committed to academic excellence, leadership development, and the holistic growth of our students. As members of the HTU community, students are expected to uphold values of integrity, respect, accountability, and service while contributing positively to a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Student Code of Conduct reflects the University’s mission to educate the whole person mind, body, and spirit and serves as a guide for ethical decision-making, personal responsibility, and community engagement.
The purpose of the Student Code of Conduct is to affirm Huston-Tillotson University’s commitment to fostering a safe, respectful, and value driven campus community. The Code provides clear expectations for student behavior while supporting personal growth, restorative learning, and accountability consistent with the University’s foundation and HBCU legacy.
The Code is designed not only to address misconduct but also to educate students, encourage reflection, and promote responsible citizenship within the University and beyond.
The goals of the Student Code of Conduct include:

In keeping with our commitment to health, wellness, and mutual respect, the use of all tobacco products, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes), vaping devices, and smoking materials is strictly prohibited on all University-owned or University-controlled properties.
