About Campus Tours
When choosing a university, it is essential to become familiar with the campus atmosphere in order to make informed decisions. The Office of Recruitment & Admission conducts tours of the campus, so that prospective students and their families can become acquainted with Huston-Tillotson University. View HT Camps Map.
All tours require a reservation. Please allow 5 to 7 working days to process your request during peak times. Tours are not guaranteed until an email confirmation is received from the Office of Recruitment and Admission.
All visitors must enter the campus through the east entrance at 810 Chalmers Street. Guests will be directed to the Agard-Lovinggood Building, where the tours will begin.
Tours are approximately an hour long and include a visit to the Center for Academic Excellence, Davage-Durden Student Union, and a glimpse of several of our historical buildings.
- Fall tours are available between Sept. 4, 2024, and Dec. 8, 2024
- Spring tours are available between Jan. 8, 2025, and Apr. 26, 2025
- Summer tours are available between May 13, 2025, and July 26, 2025
Things to know before you come
Your tour will be a walking tour of campus, so please dress according to the weather and remember to wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Residence Hall tours are contingent upon availability
- Tours are not guaranteed until an email confirmation is received from the Office of Recruitment and Admission
- If you are 15 minutes late for your tour, it will be canceled, and you will be required to reschedule for a later date
- Self-guided tours of the campus are not permitted

Excuse Letter Policy
High School / College registrar offices may require visiting students to have paperwork turned into their prospective attendance or registrar’s offices to receive an absence credit for the class. The Office of Recruitment and Admission will provide a visit letter per request.
- This document is on official HT letterhead and will have the exact day of the tour
- To receive a college visit letter, the student (s) must complete the entire campus tour accompanied by our HT Tour Guide
Group Tours 10+
We welcome groups of prospective students to Huston-Tillotson University. A group is considered to have ten or more students. Please note that visiting groups are limited to 100 students. All Group Tours from October to May begin at 10 a.m. All Group Tours will begin in the Agard-Lovinggood Auditorium, and reservations are required.

- We do not offer MIDDLE SCHOOL TOURS
Dining on Campus
Guests/students may dine on campus for $9.00 per person (this is also the group rate). Hours are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Due to the heavy volume in our dining facility, we recommend that your group dine at 11 a.m. For group dining, please contact A La Carte Menu Services once you submit your tour reservation. They can be contacted at 512-480-2299.
