Placement Testing
The Center for Academic Excellence is responsible for placement testing. All first year or transfer students with fewer than 30 credits hours may be required to take the University’s placement tests. The tests are administered during student orientation prior to academic advisement and registration each semester. The test scores determine a student’s placement in their core curriculum courses. Students who scores meet the following standards are exempt from the University’s placement test.
SAT
500 each on the verbal test and the mathematics test.
ACT
19 each on the English test and the mathematics test.
