Huston-Tillotson University’s Fall Registration Scheduled August 19-21

(AUSTIN, Texas) 8.10.15 — Prospective students interested in enrolling at Huston-Tillotson University for the Fall 2015 semester have one final opportunity before the start of the classes. Fall 2015 registration is scheduled Wednesday through Friday, August 19-21, 2015, on the campus, located at 900 Chicon Street, beginning at 9 a.m.
During the registration process, students can meet with advisors, take placement tests, complete financial aid paperwork, register for classes, confirm housing assignments, and visit with the campus nurse. Students are advised to begin the process by ensuring that immunization records, especially the required Meningitis vaccine, are up to date.
First-year students will begin to move into the residence halls on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7 a.m. Continuing students are scheduled to move in on Friday, Aug. 21.
The move in also launches New Student Orientation and a traditional Matriculation Ceremony, designed to assist students with the college transition. The Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. in King-Seabrook Chapel and is open to the public.
Huston-Tillotson University offers Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degrees in biology, business administration, communication, chemistry, computer science, computer information systems, criminal justice, education, environmental studies, English, history, kinesiology, mathematics, music, political science, psychology and sociology. A minor can be earned in most of the disciplines, including religions studies and African and African American Studies.
An enrollment of 1,031 students in 2014 reflected the University’s highest enrollment since the 1952 merger of Samuel Huston and Tillotson colleges into what is now Huston-Tillotson University.
