Huston-Tillotson University Presents: Boots ‘N Bling Benefit: Advancing Huston-Tillotson University from First to Foremost 

 

Austin, Texas – January 5, 2024 – Huston-Tillotson University (HT) officials are thrilled to announce the highly anticipated Boots ’N Bling Benefit, scheduled for Friday, March 1, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Fair Market. 

Expanding Horizons, Connecting Communities:
In a groundbreaking move, the Boots ‘N Bling Benefit offers a unique opportunity to connect cross-generationally, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose. As HT advances from first to foremost, this event symbolizes the University’s commitment to inclusivity and community engagement. 

An Unforgettable Evening of Entertainment:
Boots ‘N Bling will not only dazzle with its philanthropic purpose but also with a stellar lineup of entertainment. Nationally acclaimed Zydeco and line-dance sensation, Cupid, will take the stage, alongside local favorites. This dynamic ensemble promises an unforgettable evening of celebration and unity. 

Strengthening Bonds for a Brighter Future:
This fundraiser goes beyond the glitz and glamour, it is a testament to HT’s dedication to strengthening connections with the Central Texas community. The Boots ‘N Bling Benefit seeks to build lasting ties, fostering a sense of belonging and mutual support between HT and its neighbors. 

Supporting Scholarships and Leadership Development:
The University aims to raise funds through this benefit, channeling programs and leadership development opportunities, with a particular focus on supporting student services, attracting and retaining outstanding faculty, improving the building facilities, and supplying campus wide computing and library resources. The iconic W.E.B. Du Bois Honors Program stands as a prime example of the initiatives that will benefit from this collective effort.
