Huston-Tillotson University Experiences Record Enrollment For Fall 2023

Increase reflects more male students than female students

Austin, Texas – Huston-Tillotson University (HT) is thrilled to announce its highest enrollment of first-time freshman students in nine years. This historic milestone reflects a total of 361 new students, a 17.6% increase over last year’s number of 301.

Additionally, the university boasts a record number of first-time freshman males who comprise 55% of the incoming class. Students from fourteen (14) foreign countries account for the seventy-three percent (73%) increase in enrollment of international students. The university’s total enrollment is 1,053.

“What makes this year’s enrollment even more remarkable is the incredible diversity within our student body,” said Yohannis Job, vice president for enrollment management. “In a surprising turn, we have a higher number of male students compared to females, and a larger showing of international students, marking a significant shift in our demographics,” he added.
