Fly Dance Company Set to Bring Electrifying Performance to Huston-Tillotson University’s 150th Anniversary Kickoff Celebration

Austin, Texas – October 29, 2024 – Street dance will meet classical music when the Fly Dance Company takes the stage at Huston-Tillotson University (HT) on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, at 7 p.m. in the King-Seabrook Chapel. This event, which brings a high-energy, entertaining, and educational experience to the Austin community, marks an exciting part of HT’s kickoff to its yearlong 150th-anniversary in 2025.
Based in Houston, Texas, Fly Dance Company is renowned for its dynamic performances that fuse urban street dance with classical music. In addition to their mainstage performances, FLY Dance Company offers community outreach through their edutainment shows, dance workshops, lecture demonstrations, and residencies. Their educational topics range from cyberbullying to healthy eating, offering a unique blend of performance and teaching.
As part of this special visit, HT has partnered with Blackshear Elementary School to introduce Austin’s young learners to the magic of dance and movement, while emphasizing the joy of creativity and the power of artistic expression.
