Cities in Space
Friday Feb, 28 2020
Hello teachers and welcome to Cities in Space 2020! We sent this out a week ago but just as a final reminder on this and that.
We are thrilled that you will be joining us this year! We have an amazing line up for you this year, including speakers such as CEO of Firefly Aerospace Tom Markusic and Founder of Space Kids Global Sharon Hagel. We will also get a peek into the most recent winners of the Mars Film Competition provided by Sci Art Exchange Director Jancy McPhee and another wonderful space music experience by local musician Nate Zivin! It’s going to be a stellar day!
It will be a very full and busy day but this year, we will have the extra advantage of being on Huston Tillotson University Campus *parking and lunch on-site*. In addition to our professional judges for your students, we are also thrilled to have the University of Texas Rocket & Engineering Laboratory students and Huston Tillotson’s Science students working with your teams and supporting as mentor and volunteers.
Here are some details for the conference as well as the Media Waivers for you to bring upon arrival. Please note: ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE SIGNED MEDIA WAIVERS. If one of your students does not have their waiver, please let us know and we will put a sticker on their badge to let our photographers and videographers know to not film or photo them.
