Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act
The Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act, the second federal COVID relief package, became law in December 2020 and includes aid that will be distributed directly to students Huston-Tillotson University. The university has created a distribution plan to aid students from these CRRSA Act funds, beginning in March 2021.

Huston-Tillotson University acknowledges that it signed and returned to the Department of Education a Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The university gives assurance that the institution will use $815,096 of Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act funds to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
- The amount received from the Department pursuant to Huston-Tillotson’s Certification and Agreement for Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students under the CRRSA Act was $816,096.

- First priority was to enrolled students with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). CRRSA Act emergency aid grants awarded ranged from $271.71 to $996.72.
