Huston-Tillotson University Appoints Dr. Kenneth R. Crawford, Jr. as New Chief Operating Officer

Austin, TX – July 1, 2024 – Huston-Tillotson University is thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Kenneth R. Crawford, Jr., to the prestigious role of Chief Operating Officer and Clerk to the Board at Huston-Tillotson University.
Dr. Crawford has been a valued member of the Huston-Tillotson community since the fall of 2022, when he initially joined as the Executive Associate to the President and CEO. In this capacity, he demonstrated exemplary leadership and management skills by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Office of the President. His commitment to excellence and his ability to drive strategic initiatives have significantly contributed to the efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
In his new role as Chief Operating Officer and Clerk to the Board, Dr. Crawford will expand his oversight to include the Department of Athletics, Dining Services, Facilities, and Campus Safety. Additionally, as Clerk to the Board, he will play a crucial role in supporting the Board of Trustees, ensuring effective communication, and maintaining accurate records of board activities. This broader scope of responsibilities underscores the trust and confidence that the university’s leadership has in Dr. Crawford’s capabilities.
