Danny Santa Signs with the RAMS

Daniel Santa was the first player to officially tryout as a prospect for the Fall 2014 roster, and he was the first player to verbally commit to Huston-Tillotson University Men’s Soccer. A senior at Vista Ridge High School with Coach Reed, and a long time player on the Lonestar SC 96B Red, with Coach Steve Bailey, Danny brings a lot of qualities that may see him compete for starting time very early in his collegiate career.
On the addition of Santa to the team, Coach Ferguson stated, “It makes it very easy when you have an experienced high school coach and a premier league club coach both supporting their athletes through the process. Danny was motivated to play and study, and Coaches Reed and Bailey were both very confident in him as a young man and as a soccer player. At the club level I have seen Danny play at the premier league, state finals and regionals, so there is no questioning his caliber on the field, and unlike many graduating high school seniors, he has a very good physical presence, which may fast track him into the starting XI, if he does the right things in pre-season and in the classroom”.
