Michele Thornton Ghee Named Huston-Tillotson University’s 2019 Commencement Convocation Speaker

AUSTIN, TX (4.23.19) – Michele Thornton Ghee, Executive Vice President of Business Development for Endeavor Global Marketing, will render the Huston-Tillotson University Commencement Convocation address on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 8:30 a.m.  The ceremony will held on the Huston-Tillotson University athletic field, located at 900 Chicon Street.  This year’s 2019 graduates arrived four years ago when President and Chief Executive Officer Colette Pierce Burnette was hired, making this an even more heartfelt commencement ceremony.

Commencement Convocation occurs in conjunction with Huston-Tillotson University’s Honors Convocation and Reunion Weekend 2019 activities. Honors Day Convocation, recognizing students who have earned high academic honors, is scheduled on Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. at Greater Mt. Zion Church, located at 4301 Tannehill Ln, Austin, Texas. Reunion Weekend activities begin on Thursday, May 9 at the Holiday Inn Midtown and continue through Saturday.  Registration and packet information is online at http://htiaa.com/news-and-events/. In addition to the ceremony for the 2019 graduates, HT’s 50th year Class of 1969 will be honored at the graduation program and throughout the weekend festivities in addition to members of classes ending in 9s and 4s.

“The commencement ceremony is such a proud moment in the life of the University filled with happiness and gratitude for the graduates who have worked so hard to earn their college degree,” said Burnette.  “I am confident that the members of the ‘genius generation’ entering the workforce, graduate school, or creating their businesses, will make great future impacts.”
