Lady Rams Sign Benitez, Marin, Ruiz, Rodriguez

Huston Tillotson Women’s Soccer Team are excited to announce the signings of Yessica Benitez, Amalia Ruiz, Marisa Marin and Ariana Rodriguez to the Fall 2015 roster. ‘The four signings represent a strengthening of our roster in all four areas’, commented Head Coach Rob Ferguson. ‘Yess is a GK we know well having seen her train all spring, she will bring great competition for the staring GK jersey. Amalia Ruiz brings great attributes on both sides of the ball, either as a central defender or as a central midfield player. Marisa Marin is penciled in as a midfielder player going in to pre season, in either a central or wide role. Finally, Ariana Rodriguez is a player who brings good attacking attributes in the number 9 or 10 position’. The players join up with the HT Lady Rams on August 9th. ‘Pre Season will be an opportunity for all the players to show the coaching staff what they can contribute and how ready they are from day one’, added Coach Ferguson. The Lady Rams expect to confirm the signings of 2 or 3 other players before pre season begins August 9th.
