Department of Computer Science

Learning Opportunity

Students receive an education that prepares them for the challenges of the work place.  Students can obtain a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in either Computer Science or in Computer Information Systems.  Major emphasis is placed on software testing, inspection, and reviews.

Experienced Faculty

Students have access to faculty with industry and research experience.  Some areas of expertise include: database design, operating systems, robotics, and software engineering.  Our class sizes are small (15:1 ratio) which allow individual attention to every student.

Demand for Graduates

Local and national industries and agencies seek our students for internships and job offers.  There are jobs available for students as laboratory technicians and some of our students are paid participants in research projects.  Some of the organizations that have partnered with us to offer internships and jobs to our students include: Dell Inc., IBM, Samsung, and Applied Materials.
