Environmental Studies Now the Newest HT Major

(AUSTIN, Texas) 4.2.14—The newest HT major, Environmental Studies, offers a degree program for students interested in sustainability issues such as environmental justice, global warming, conservation biology, renewable energy, air and water pollution, environmental law, and many other related topics.
Environmental Studies students will take a series of required and elective courses in Environmental Biology, Environmental Sociology, Environmental History, Environmental Literature, Climate Studies, Conservation Biology, Field Biology, Technical or Creative Writing, and several others. Students will either create and conduct their own research project, or participate in internships with sustainability-oriented agencies, businesses, and non-governmental organizations.
