HT Students Ready for National Honda Campus All-Star Challenge

The team of Aisha Z. Henderson, senior, computer science; Jonathan Wayne, junior, music; Nimi Kemuel, senior, political science; and Micah Johnson, senior, communication; will represent Huston-Tillotson University at the Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC).  The HCASC is the first-ever academic competition between students at America’s historically black colleges and universities.  Now in its 24th season, nearly 100,000 HCASC players have demonstrated their incredible intellects and fast recall, and for their efforts, have earned more than $7 million in grants from Honda for their institutions. The HT team is gearing up for the National Championship to take place at American Honda headquarters in Torrance, California, Sunday, April 7th.  See the competitions from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pacific Time and the Final Games live. The HT team is coached by History Professor Alaine Hutson (center). HT students have earned more than $40,000 in the competition since entering the challenge in the early 90s.
