HT Shows Spirit vs LSUS

HT Women’s Soccer team started their 2012 Red River Conference campaign with a tough home outing against a very quick and athletic LSU-Shreveport team on Thursday Sept 20th. After a very promising start to the game HT unfortunately then allowed LSU to rush into a 2 goal lead. HT’s response in the second half was excellent, pushing for a goal of their own. Despite going 3-0 down from an unfortunate cross that found the back of the net, the HT goal did come with a fantastic pass from Victoria Reyes to set Courtney Wilcut through on goal. Wilcut calmly lifted the ball over the head of the onrushing GK and into an empty net. The game finished HT 1-3 LSUS. Plenty to be positive about with this first competitive display of the season for the Rams.
